In collaboration with Performance Driven Events, Ontario Cycling, and Tourism Kingston we are pleased to announce the return of stage racing to Ontario in 2025. The Kingston Classic Stage Race will take place July 4th to 6th, 2025 and will consist of four stages highlighting the Kingston area.
Registration
Registration is now closed. Contact courtney.doret@ontariocycling.org for late registration.
Registration will be through CCN bikes. Register for individual events or for the whole stage race. Only those who enter all 4 events are eligible for placing on the General Classification. Due to the event timing, stage race entrants who are unable to participate in the Fort Henry Hill Climb will be assigned the same time as the last place finisher and counted in the stage race General Classification.

*To be considered for a General Classification placement, racers must register for the Stage Race option. This also provides a discounted price from purchasing the 4 events separately.
Fort Henry Youth Hill Climb: $10 includes day licence. Parents will have to create an CCNbikes account to register their yourng racer.

Affordable accommodation can be found at the Queen’s University Residence just minutes from the courses.
Stage 1: Cintas Fort Henry Hill Climb
Friday, 4-July-2025 (6pm - 9pm)
Location: Fort Henry, Kingston
Distance: 1100 m
Amenities: Washrooms
Description: 1100 m course with approximately 12m of elevation gain.
Format: Hill climb time trial. Individual timed race against the clock. 30 second intervals between racers.

Race Technical Guide: Tech Guide V4
Kids Race: Kids 8 - 13 years old will have the unique and exciting opportunity to race up the hill against the clock and finish within the walls of Fort Henry. Registration is $10. Any working bicycle will do. Helmet are mandatory. First rider off at 6pm, then all other riders at 30 second intervals. Register on CCNbikes.com (parents will need to create an account to register your young racer).
Parking: Please access the parking lot through CFB Kingston (Niagara Park, Lundy’s Lane). For safety reasons, please avoid accessing the parking lot on Fort Henry Drive.
Stage 2: Time Trial
Saturday 5 July 2025 (9am - 11am)
Location: Joyceville, Ontario
Distance: 30 km (15km for U15)
Amenities: Washrooms.
Description: 30 km lightly rolling course on quite country roads. Half the course newly paved.
Format: Road Time Trial. Individual timed race against the clock. 30 second intervals between racers.

Stage 3: CFB Kingston Criterium (OCup)
Saturday 5 July 2025 (1pm - 6pm)
Location: Canadian Forces Base Kingston
Distance: 50 to 75 minutes depending on category.
Amenities: Washrooms
Description: Flat, four-corner, 1.3km, course. Only 5m of elevation per lap.
Format: Road criterium race. OCup categories.

Sunday 6 July 2025 (7am-5pm)
Location: Lansdowne, Ontario
Distance: 4-8 laps depending on category.
Amenities: Washrooms
Description: Road race. No change from prior years of the event. Mostly flat, quiet country roads.

Event Proceeds
A portion of the race proceeds will be donated to the Matthew Dawe Endowment Fund.
Matthew Dawe who was a member of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Regiment (PPCLI) and a member of the RMC class of 2004 was killed while leading an operation near Kandahar, Afghanistan, on July 4, 2007. He attended LaSalle Secondary School, in Kingston, and later graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada as the Cadet Wing Commander in 2004. He is survived by his wife, Tara, his son Lucas, his father Lt-Col. Peter Dawe (Retired), his mother Mrs. Reine Dawe, and his brothers, Peter Jr., Philip, and James, who have proudly served the Regiment.
The Matthew Dawe Memorial Fund serves as an endowment fund whereby the interest is used to fund operations of the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area.
